high-school-gpa-main_Full1.jpgCalculating Your Grade Point Average

Your grade point average (G.P.A.) is often used to determine your eligibility for college or university entrance, or for your standing on the honor roll, sports teams, and clubs (CJSF, etc.). To calculate your G.P.A., set up three columns. In the first, list your subjects. In the second column, after your subject, write your letter grade. In the third column, record your points as follows:

A = 4 points
B = 3 points
C = 2 points
D = 1 point
F = 0 points

Add up the points of the third column and divide this by the number of subjects you listed. This will give you your G.P.A.
